Keeping a healthy immune system has never been more important than now, but how does one accomplish this given our current constraints in culture?

Outside of regularly washing your hands as well as practicing social distancing, there are a few easy to do suggestions that will ensure your immune system remains at it's highest level so you remain safe and healthy.

We partnered with Territory Foods and their registered dietitian to give you three easy ways that you can boost your immune system. Act on them today for a safer, healthier body for you and the entire family.

  1. Get Enough Sleep & Manage Stress
The immune system is weakened by a lack of sleep and by compounding stress, so it's important to get enough rest and keep stress under control in order for it to function at its best.
To ensure you get enough quality sleep, putting down your electronic devices at least an hour before you retire to bed as the added blue light is known to negatively effect your sleep cycle. To help you alleviate stress we suggest you try taking one of our free online live classes from our Facebook page
  2. Load Up On Vitamin C
Vitamin C is a key micronutrient for supporting a healthy immune system. While you can take a vitamin supplement to get your daily dose of vitamin C, there's nothing like receiving it naturally through incorporating an array of fruits and vegetables into your diet.

3. Eat More Fruits & Veggies

Speaking of eating fruits and vegetables, this is one of the best ways to boost your immune system-and the tastiest way too! :)

As Hippocrates famously said, "Let food be thy medicine", so be sure to lay off the processed food during these times and eat plenty of plant based foods that are rich in vitamins that are essential for the immune system to function optimally.

Boosting your immune system and keeping it healthy really can be as easy as one, two, three!
