Health and fitness are part of a lifestyle for everyone who wants to live a healthier, happier, more productive life. With the crisis of obesity in the United States leading to further health complications such as cancer, heart disease and diabetes, regular exercise is increasingly important to the health and welfare of the public and serves to keep the overall cost of health care down. Stress alone can take a significant toll on physical and mental wellness, much of which can be prevented by committing to fitness.
As a member of our local community it is important for Onelife Fitness to remain active in the charities around which our business revolves. Civic responsibility entails more than promoting a healthy lifestyle. There are many charitable organizations that need financial and promotional help as well. Onelife Fitness is committed to helping those less fortunate in the community by not only elevating awareness of fitness, a critical part of a healthy lifestyle, but also raising money and awareness for those organizations that help many of the underprivileged in our community. Onelife Fitness actively sponsors, promotes and plans local activities such as charitable walks and runs, bicycle races, blood drives, wellness seminars and more.
Onelife Fitness is an active partner with the American Diabetes Association (ADA) helping the citizens of Hampton Roads fight diabetes, one of the fastest growing diseases in the country, with our annual Tour de Cure and ADA Walk sponsorships. We also partner with the Breast Cancer Research Hospital at the Chesapeake Regional Medical Center raising money and awareness for breast cancer research with our pink treadmill. We are also proud to support disadvantaged children by supporting 4 Kids, a local charity that helps homeless children and their families with food and shelter.
Onelife passionately supports many more local civic groups including:
- Cystic Fibrosis of Hampton Roads
- Partners in Education (PIE) with Virginia Beach and Cheasapeake
- City of Chesapeake Sherriff's Department Physical Readiness program
- USMC Toys for Tots
